Our Team

Behind every heartwarming moment, every camp, every workshop, and every smiling kid… there’s a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work that makes it possible.

Nonprofit life isn’t just the touching events, the cute photo moments, or the big transformations. It’s also the meetings, the planning, the brainstorming, and the team building. And at Logan’s Little Warriors, we make that process fun, purposeful, and always rooted in what matters most: our kids and our camps.

If you have interest or experience in kids camps, events, coordinating, engagement, volunteering, community building, finance, social media, PR, or education — or if you’re simply curious about being part of something meaningful — we’d love to have you sit in.
Come listen, get to know the team, and see if you feel called to take a bigger role…
or just be part of the movement.

Everyone is welcome. Your heart, your ideas, and your willingness to help are more than enough.

Interested in becoming a volunteer?

Volunteering with a youth program is a chance to make a real, lasting difference in a young person’s life. Your time, skills, and encouragement can help kids build confidence, learn important life skills, and see new possibilities for their future. Even a small commitment can have a powerful impact—for them and for you.

Message from our Founder – Kerrie Hill

Kerrie HillWhat does a cry for help look like? Most parents think they would recognize it.

We think it looks like bad behavior, bad grades, acting out, or withdrawal. But the truth is — most of the time, it doesn’t look like anything at all.

When I talk to parents who’ve lost a child, they almost all say the same thing: “I had no idea how much my child was struggling.” Not knowing how close to the edge they stood.

I’m one of those parents. My name is Kerrie Hill.  I lost my son Logan on February 7, 2022.

Within the first hour of that devastating phone call, I knew one thing — his name had to live on, and it had to stand for something that could save lives.  I knew I had to turn unimaginable pain into purpose, and transform grief into hope — not just for myself, but for other families walking this same road.

Here’s the problem we’re facing:

We are raising kids in a world where their worth is measured by performance.  Grades. Scores. Achievements. Comparison. And when kids don’t measure up, they don’t think, “I’m struggling.” They think, “I’m failing.”

Our education system does a good job teaching academics. But it leaves a dangerous gap between traditional learning and the real-life skills kids need when life gets hard.

We don’t teach kids how to manage emotions, how to build inner strength, how to sit with discomfort, or how to believe they matter — even when they’re not winning.

And when kids don’nt have those tools, they don’t ask for help. They suffer silently.

At Logan’s Little Warriors, our mission is simple and urgent:

To equip kids and families with real-life skills that, when added as part of a morning routine, build inner strength and resilience.

We teach the Warrior Way — seven simple habits — in as little as seven minutes, helping kids build inner strength, emotional resilience, and a sense of self-worth that isn’t tied to performance.

This isn’t about motivation. It’s about survival.

Because resilience isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something that can be taught.

When kids know their worth isn’t measured by performance, they don’t just survive — they thrive.  And when we equip them with real-life skills, we don’t just change outcomes — we change their lives.

This Month’s Featured Volunteer – Carolyn McKeand

Carolyn McKeand

If you know Carolyn, you know she’s not the one rushing to the spotlight. She’s the thoughtful, observant one—steady, wise, quietly funny, and incredibly generous with her time. And since day one of Logan’s Little Warriors, she has been such an essential part of our team.

Carolyn has stepped out of her comfort zone many times to support this mission. From leading one of our youngest groups at our very first Kids Camp to taking on even bigger responsibilities—like stepping into the role of Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee—she continues to show up with heart and courage.

She’s learning as she goes, asking questions, leaning on guidance when needed, and recently led her very first Finance Committee meeting with confidence and clarity. We’re so proud of her growth and so grateful for her support!!

Her care for our mission—and her longtime friendship with Kerrie—shines through in everything she does. We appreciate her deeply, and LLW wouldn’t be the same without her dedication.

If Carolyn’s journey shows anything, it’s that: You don’t need experience to make an impact here.
You don’t need to be perfect—you just need heart, curiosity, and a willingness to change the world one kid at a time!

We’d love to welcome more people like Carolyn into this community. If you’re looking for purpose, connection, or a chance to do something meaningful for kids and teens… we’d love to meet you.
